Sauti za Busara 2010

Feb 2010

Sat 13, 4:15pm Old Fort - Mambo Club

British Council supports young emerging artists through their WaPi (Words and Pictures) programme that has provided platforms for youth to showcase their talents in many countries around Africa. In Tanzania, during 2009 WaPi has visited Iringa, Arusha and Mwanza as well as hosting regular events in Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar. In Iringa they found “very interesting talents” including a group of young deaf artists who play marimba, traditional ngoma and manyanga. These as well as many of Tanzania's finest are sure to move the crowds whilst they hone their skills for some to take to the international stage in coming years.
