One of the oldest institutions in Zanzibar today is the taarab musical club Nadi Ikhwan Safaa - “The True Brotherhood Club.” Established in 1905, Poetry and Motion follows the club’s fascinating musical journey through colonialism, revolution and widespread social change, up to the celebration of its 100th anniversary.
