Sauti za Busara 2013

Top

Preparations are in high gear for one of the most memorable festival editions ever as we mark a decade of perfecting Africa’s iconic musical event, Sauti za Busara. This year’s festival takes place on 14-17 February 2013. Called “the friendliest festival on the planet,” Sauti za Busara breathes life into Zanzibar from the shores of the Indian Ocean to the ancient walls of the Old Fort and to street shows throughout Stone Town as locals and visitors experience the cultural richness of the Swahili coast.

Movers & Shakers Tackles the Hot Topics

Top

The festival attracts a wide range of local and international music professionals. The Movers and Shakers forum takes place each afternoon of the festival and provides the perfect opportunity for artists, managers, media and related professionals to share information, exchange ideas and network for strengthening regional markets.
Sessions are free and open to invited local and visiting musicians, managers, promoters, festival organizers, journalists, and cultural operators. During the 10th edition, we’ll discuss building sustainability, what’s new in African media, politics and censorship in the arts, and more. Do let us know if you have additional suggestions for themes and topics you’d like to see this year!
By invitation only: If you are a professional and wish to participate, contact md@busara.or.tz
