Sauti za Busara 2021

Sauti za Busara 2021 Flyer

Organisers are already super busy preparing the 18th Sauti za Busara festival to shake the walls of Stone Town, Zanzibar during 11th – 14th February 2021. The full line up of artists and events will be announced in October.

We remain optimistic “the show will go on” and encourage all artists playing unique music connected to Africa, the Arab World and Indian Ocean to apply to participate.

In the meantime, with regard to coronavirus and the COVID-19 pandemic, we are closely monitoring the situation at home and abroad to make adjustments if required. Our priority is the safety and security of the local population, the broader music community and everyone involved in the event.

Final Call for Artists

Sauti za Busara primarily showcases live and original music from the African Continent and diaspora. Artists from the Arab World and Indian Ocean region are also welcome to apply.

Our deadline to receive completed artists’ applications is 31 July 2020.

See here for more information and link to application form

We especially encourage women and young, emerging artists. For consideration by the selection committee, please ensure your application includes a biography, recent recordings (audio / video), quality photos and/or a link to your Music in Africa profile.

All complete submissions received by 31 July will have careful consideration.
