Faith Mussa is an award-winning afro-soul singer-songwriter, guitarist, one-man-band and one of Malawi's most popular artists, known for his soulful voice and energetic performances. His music combines traditional Malawian vibes with modern sounds to create a unique and exciting performance. His music career started playing hand-made gallon guitars and milk-tin drums with friends and siblings in the dusty township of Ndirande. After being in a family band for several years, Faith Mussa’s career skyrocketed after the release of his debut solo album “Desperate”, in 2013. Since then he has performed in several countries and at many festivals, including Glastonbury, Lake of Stars, Arts festival of Northern Norway, World Fest California, Tumaini Festival and more. In his home country, he won several prestigious awards, such as the MAM award for Song of the Year 2013, Nyasa Award for Song of the Year 2017 and Malawi Special Achievers Award 2017.
Faith Mussa is strongly committed to social justice and human rights. In this regard, he has worked with UNICEF, Plan International, as an ambassador for Oxfam and composer for GIRL Effect Malawi.
His 2nd album is set to be released in spring and will contain music recorded around the world with the greatest talents he has interacted with on his musical journeys.
