Born in Algiers in 2009, the El Dey band fuses diwane music with popular chaabi  styles, flamenco and jazz.  Their charisma and energy on stage is guaranteed to have everyone dancing.

El Dey’s songs and compositions resonate powerfully with a new and youthful generation in Algeria, conveying messages of hope in their music that speaks of love, brotherhood, and solidarity. 

 Through El Dey’s performances, TV appearances and nominations for various awards, the group has earned massive popularity at home and abroad.

 El Dey has crisscrossed Algeria on many occasions, also being invited to perform in venues around Brasil, Barcelona, ​​Paris, Montreal and Milan. 2018 sees the group’s first time to perform in sub-Sahara Africa.
