The vision of Guiss Guiss Bou Bess is to preserve the cultural heritage of Senegal while at the same time making it more accessible for the world beyond. Theirs is the merging of two artists and two worlds: Mara Seck (Senegal) & Stephane Costantini (France). Their captivating collaboration provides a bridge between Senegalese sabar drumming and electronic music, breaking down cultural barriers to make the rhythms and identity of mbalax more understandable for all.

The project debuted in Dakar, Senegal in April 2017. Since then they have performed at Womex, Atlantic Music Expo, Trans Musicales and other international events.
