Eli Maliki is a Kenyan-Ugandan soul fusion artist with a drive to inspire. He fuses the sounds of his African heritage with fresh neo-soul vibes and lyrics that come from and move the heart.

Born in a musical family, Eli started his musical journey early in a family band, where he was a backing singer, dancer and instrumentalist. He grew up in church where he became the choir leader. After some years, he went solo as Eli Maliki, with his first paying gig in 2011. A milestone was the release of his first album ‘Hey’, in 2015.

In his musical journey, Eli says he was greatly inspired by Lauryn Hill, India Arie, Maxwell and D’Angelo. He has grown to learn, teach and share in his career, through performances and workshops across East Africa and Europe. He has written music and shared the stage with Sautisol, Eric Wainaina and Damian Soul.
