Msaki has always had a knack for voicing our inner fears, hopes and desires. She is a singer-songwriter-producer-curator and one of South Africa’s most unique and exciting talents.

She is equally at home in acoustic settings as well as on chart-topping bangers by the globally revered South African house music fraternity – from Mobi Dixon to Revolution, Black Coffee, Black Motion, and Prince Kaybee, with whom she created “Fetch Your Life”.

The song was a rallying call, a battle cry, a lifeline, an inspirational mantra and one of the biggest songs on South African radio, with 3.1 billion impressions in 2019.

In 2020, Msaki saw four nominations for the South African Music Awards (SAMA) and digital and radio chart domination in a collaboration with Sun-EL Musician on the motivational ‘Ubomi Abumanga’.

Accolades don’t distract her from disrupting and asking questions through her art, positioning her words to hit where impact can be felt the most.

‘Blood Guns and Revolutions’, for example, was written after 34 miners lost their lives at the Marikana Massacre by South African security forces in 2012.

The song is a moving and powerful tribute that will stand the test of time, transforming pain, fury and despair into inspiration and hope.
