Nazareth Choir is a choir of the Anglican Church, from Kurasini, Dar es Salaam.The choir started in 1973 with fifteen members, and presently the choir has 60 members.
More than providing both church and secular services, Nazareth Choir has been working together with "Tume ya Kuratidu na Kuzuia Dawa za Kulevya Tanzania" (Committee on Drug Abuse) since 1997, aimed at educating Tanzanian communities on the effects of drugs abuse. Also the group provides choir classes to children with the aim of making sure that the young generation is prepared to take over and continue with the movement. Nazareth has participated in different festivals and concerts held at Bagamoyo College of Arts and at the University of Dar es Salaam (Department of Fine and Performing Arts).
Nazareth Choir is under the guidance of Mr Kedmon Mapana, a professional choir leader/ musician who is taking Masters of Arts in Music at the University of Dar es Salaam.
