Fareed Kubanda, aka Fid Q is arguably Tanzania’s most prolific hiphop artist. His social awareness and political insightfulness coupled with profound lyrical prowess has propelled him to the upper echelons of the Rap Elite.
Fid Q has released two award-winning albums in Tanzania. He is currently finalising a third album titled Kitaaolojia. Bridging the gap between old and new generations, Fid Q has featured on collaborations with a range of local legends including Bi Kidude, Zahir Ally Zoro, Maua Sama, AY, Mzungu Kichaa, Witness and Stamina.
He has also been involved in TV presenting and facilitating workshops on the importance of valuing artists' welfare and intellectual property rights.
