Afrigo Band was founded by Moses Matovu and the late Charles Sekyanzi in 1975. They play a variety of styles including original compositions and covers. Afrigo Band strived through the difficult times Idi Amin and Obote 2 regimes, whilst continually entertaining the masses. Existing for 42 years, Afrigo Band is one of the longest surviving groups in the region. The group has recorded 15 albums that are greatly appreciated by young and old alike. They have successfully toured in Asia, Europe and the Americas. For their first show in Zanzibar, witness this legendary group at Sauti za Busara 2019.
