Fadhilee is a Kenyan "world music" artist who shares and collaborates with other artists, produces innovative shows and works for the development of the East African arts scene. His music is inspired by an old style of Kenyan guitar music played with thumb and index finger called omutibo. This style is influenced directly by the traditional music of the Luhya region of Kakamega in western Kenya where his father is originally from.
In 2018, Fadhilee released a 10 track album ‘Kwetu’ (Home) – a great collection of songs including We Don't Know, Kwetu, Shombo, Mama, and Flora. The album also features percussive original Luyha Isukuti tunes in bonus tracks that enhance the listening experience.
Fadhilee has performed across East Africa, in Ghana, Scandinavia, Greece, Germany and Switzerland. He is also the founder of Fadhilee's Garage - a monthly concert literally at his garage - as well as founder of the annual Utam Festival.
