MB Dogg is a Bongo flava artist who started his career with a right note, his popularity extends all over Tanzania and the whole of East Africa.
His real name is Mbwana Mohamed, he was born in the outskirts of Dar es Salaam in 1983, and like many other young people his musical interest was influenced by American music and later on from the pioneers of Bongo flava style like Mr II, Dola Soul and Kwanza Unit.
MB Dogg who is under Tiptop Connection management sent his first warning note in 2004 with the hit single Latifa, a song which was played by every radio station and many other occasions around Tanzania. He was then nominated and later awarded as the best upcoming male artist in the Kilimanjaro Music Awards 2004/05. His star continued to shine when his second single Si Uliniamba (But You told me..) was awarded as the best song for the Kilimanjaro Music Awards 2005/06.
His expectation is to first snatch the best album award 2006/7, cross borders and grab attention of music fans from around East, Central and Southern Africa. He is now working on his second album which will be released in 2007
