Tamimu Mshauri Salum is a young, talented, and energetic musician from Bagamoyo, a coastal town north of Dar es Salaam, who flutters the flag of Singeli music in Tanzania.

His first song, “Sifa ya Mwanamke,” was released in 2019. Its success saw the track being played all over the media as well as penetrating through the streets of Dar es Salaam and other Tanzanian regions significantly increasing his following.

As a result, he was able to score collaborations with major artists such as Ben Paul. His songs include Tilalila (Tamimu, 2019), Mjini Mipango (Tamimu, 2019), Utanichuna (Tamimu, 2020), Hiyo Ndio Mbaya (Ben Paul ft. Tamimu, 2021), Sanamu la Michelini (Tamimu ft. Mzee wa Bwax, 2019), and Nitoke VIP (Tamimu ft Dulla Makabila, 2019). He also collaborated with the talented and renowned artist Abeneko and featured on his track “Shemeji” released in 2020.

Tamimu has successfully performed at major festivals including Mziki Mnene (2019, 2021, and 2022), Marafiki Festival (2020 and 2022), Bagamoyo Festival (2021), and SHEMEJI CONCERT (2020). In 2022 Tamimu released four tracks in Mume wa Mtu (Tamimu ft Meja Kunta, 2022), Nahaso (Tamimu, 2022), Mtoto wa Mtu Nampenda (Tamimu, 2022), and Sina Stress (Tamimu, 2022) that all went to be major hits, going viral in as well as outside of Tanzania.
