Mandela's experiences growing up as an orphan in the slum of Mathare, Nairobi gave depth to his story telling, lyrics and music. His unique sounds and lyrics activate thought-provoking conversations and are not only emotional, addictive and truth hitting but also magical and engaging.
As the dynamic and talented lead singer of the internationally successful Sarabi band, Ambasa Mandela wrote and composed most of their songs. The group rose to become one of East Africa's most popular live bands whilst touring and delighting audiences across East Africa and Europe.
From 2016, Ambasa Mandela began to pursue his solo career. His devotion to spreading love and peace through his music continues, alive and strong.
